Sea2Sea Day 7 - Loch Ness Stage 3
Day 7 saw Iain complete the third and final stage of Loch Ness, finishing the day at Dochgarroch. The morning began in calm conditions, but in true Scottish fashion the weather quickly shifted - with sunshine, rainbows, rain, and even hail all making an appearance.
Undeterred, Iain delivered his longest swim of the challenge so far, covering an impressive 14.7km. The day was made even more special as family and friends travelled from across the country to cheer him on, with his son Jack piping him into the water.
The support crew once again played a vital role, operating like a well-oiled machine to keep everything running smoothly and make the challenge that bit easier. Spirits are high as Iain looks ahead to Day 8, with the finish line now firmly in sight - two days ahead of schedule and the North Sea on the horizon.
Fundraising has now reached 80% of the £60,000 target, with the £50,000 milestone almost within reach. If you’d like to contribute, please head over to the JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/team/sea2sea.
