Sea2Sea Day 4 - Loch Oich to Loch Ness
Day 4 saw Iain Sinclair battle through more choppy conditions on Loch Oich, with strong south-westerly winds making for demanding test. After completing the crossing, he returned to the relative calm of the Caledonian Canal, passing through Cullochy Lock, Kytra Lock and then descending 12 metres via the five locks at Fort Augustus, where he entered the chilly waters of Loch Ness.
With the halfway point of the Sea2Sea Challenge approaching, Day 5 will see Iain take on the first stretch of Loch Ness (hopefully without a sighting of Nessie).
Safety and wellbeing remain at the heart of the challenge, with Iain’s incredible support crew working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep him safe, strong, and focused. Huge shout out to Iain's team without whom this challenge would not be possible.
